Nayati Origin Meme (closed)

SOOOO yeah guys, I'm going to make these open for adoption to the WoLF group members for anyone that wants to try out for them. I'd love to see them running around and having interactions, potentially even with their dysfunctional son~ (I mean, why not? Their family dynamic is already as dysfunctional as it can get, right?...muahahaha) SO here's what I'm gunna do. I'll explain how this is going to work below, and then after that I'm going to write down a small bit for each of them, explaining what little is canon and then allow people to take it from there.

  Isi: "Deer-like"

(her name is canon and set in stone as the name she had when she gave birth to Nayati / "raised" him. She could have a different name before or after though, as she could have renamed herself.)


Canon Personality: (Not a lot of traits are set in stone, so it's pretty much up to the applicant, but she's not an outright terrible wolf. She doesn't have to be an angel or a demon, but she's not evil. She did, however, fail to attach to her son because of being abandoned by his father and then proceed to become cold and neglectful to him. That could factor in.)


Canon History: (She has more than the sire because she's from Nayati's history and is from the unnamed pack that has been expanded upon by Ahota and Nayati's stories. However, this could be a good thing to start from and she would have more of a starting point for some relationships with Nayati and Ahote both, since she'd obviously know them.)

1) About 3-4 years (doesn't have to have time mentioned) prior to this, her original pack's lands were lost to them by a late fall drought and fire. This left her and her unnamed pack to be forced out on a long journey to find new homelands, during which they were hit by a hard winter that ended up killing many of their members, especially the young that were with them. (Calfuray and Mika, the medical wolves of the pack and Ahote's parents, lost all but one son.) Just about mid-way through winter, they found a river valley among tall mountains that was supposedly unoccupied and settled down there, claiming a new homeland and managing to get by on the good hunting there. (This one's optional, depending on if she was born into the pack or joined after their move)

2) Their neighbors, the Oroseirá (Oh-roh-see-rah) pack, fought them, terrorized them, tried to steal their lands, and even got their medical wolf Mika infected with "madness fever" (rabies), which ultimately caused his son to have to put him down. Their packs were very much at odds and it likely affected her.

3) She met the sire, fell in love with him, believed he would be her mate and join her pack, had relations with him, and then he just was gone. He left her. Then she found out she was pregnant with his offspring.

4) She didn't want the growing life inside of her, didn't want it to be /his/, didn't want to raise them by herself. (Whether or not she tried to get rid of them / starved herself / hid it from the pack / anything is up to the applicant.) 

5) When she gave birth, the only living pup was a son, Nayati, who was thin like her but had a build like his father. (Whether he was the only pup or there were other stillbirths is up to the applicant.) 

6) She did try to get attached to him, but never did, became neglectful and cold, and ultimately watched from the sidelines as her son became an anxious, insecure pup that sought mothering from their medical wolf, Calfuray, rather than her.

7) The valley was flooded about ten months after Nayati was born, killing almost all of the pack and destroying the lands in a mudslide. She was separated from Nayati and didn't see him afterwards.

Prompts for thought: (These aren't something you have to answer or include but may help you come up with ideas)

-Is she originally from the pack of the valley? Did she join them before the fire drove them out into harsh winter or after? What did she think of what happened? What did she think of their neighbors? What would she think if she knew they had captured her son after he survived, killing Calfuray, and tortured him? Would she care?

-Why could she never love her son? Is it part of her personality? Is it because she could only see him as his father? Does she feel guilt and regret it? Or does she think it's his fault?
